Kybella

Kybella ® is the only FDA-approved injectable treatment that destroys submental fat cells (otherwise known as a “double chin”) without surgery. Its active ingredient, synthetic deoxycholic acid, helps break down hard-to-lose fat in the treatment area under the chin to improve your overall profile. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.

Although Kybella is indicated for use under the chin, we also have some creative ways to use it on jowls, “bra fat” near the armpit and above the knee, among other areas.

How It Works

We recommend starting with a consultation to determine whether Kybella is the right body contouring treatment for you.

At your appointment, your injector will numb the area and treat with multiple small injections under your chin. The injection process takes about 15 to 20 minutes. The exact number of injections will depend on the amount of fat you have under your chin and your desired profile. You’ll feel a slight burning sensation during treatment, which fades quickly, but we’ll also be sure you have ice to help make the process more comfortable.

Many patients experience visible results after 2-4 treatments. After Kybella treatments, there is minimal downtime, and you will likely have some swelling, bruising, or numbness under your chin.
